George Esposito, 81, past President of the Sacramento Men’s Senior Baseball League passed away on November 22, 2018 from complications related to a recent heart attack. George was born in Ohio and moved to Colorado where he began playing MSBL. He then relocated to California and played in the Sacramento Msbl, Woodland Davis Msbl, and Bay Area Msbl. He was a member of the national champion Sacramento Solons and Nor Cal Antiques and managed in league, and served as president from 2003 to 2004. He started the first ever benefit, at the McAullife Baseball complex for the Make A Wish Foundation, in honor of a league player’s son.
George was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and retired from state service with his last position at the California State Prison in Vacaville. George enjoyed volunteering, working with challenged populations, and was always willing to roll up his sleeves to get things done. He is survived by three daughters and his wife.
