iScore to SMSBL Stats Import

THE FOLLOSING STEPS MUST BE FOLLOWED FROM BOTH YOUR iSCORE MOBILE DEVICE AND SMSBL’s ONLINE DATABASE.

Step 1: Active players must have a distinct jersey number saved into your SMSBL Online Team Roster. NO DUPLICATE JERSEY NUMBER CAN EXIST. For example, no team can have more than one active player with the number 7. Please also note zero (0), double zero (00), and blank entries are all are treated as a duplicate values of zero (0) in our online system. Goto http://sacmsbl.tvonlinestats.com/player.cfm and verify everyone on your active team roster has a distinct jersey number recorded in the system.

Step 2: When you setup your team’s roster in your iScore device, the jersey number of the player on your iScore device must match exactly with the number of the player entered into the SMSBL online system.

NO DUPLICATE JERSEY NUMBER CAN EXIST.

Step 3: Once you’ve finished scoring a game on your mobile device, you must export your game stats. From the iScore startup screen, select “Options”. Then select “Export”. This uploads the data from your handheld app to iScore’s Admin website. You may be required to setup an Admin Website and password before exporting your game stats..

Step 4: Visit iScore’s Website at http://my.iscorecentral.com, enter your Login ID and Password and click “Login”. You can find your iScore login ID and password on your mobile device. From the iScore startup screen, select “Options” then select “Admin Website”. Make a note of your USER ID and PASSWORD.

Step 5: Find the Game you recently exported from your mobile device by clicking the header labeled “Games”.

Step 6: Once you’ve found the game you exported, click the Red Arrow to the right of your team name. Make sure it is your team and not your opponant. This will open or download a text file (stats.txt) with your team’s stats from this game.  Save this file and note the location on your computer where you saved it because you’ll soon need it.

Step 7: Login to the SMSBL Stats website at http://sacmsbl.tvonlinestats.com and under the header labeled “Statistics”, select iScore Import Stats from the pull down menu. You may have to enter your SMSBL team login and password.

Step 8: Find the game to be imported and click the “Stats” button located on the left. Click “Choose File” to locate and upload the text file you saved from iScore. Once you’ve located the file, click “Submit” and your team stats will be displayed in the next screen.

Step 9: Verify the stats and enter the Batting Order (BO) and Pitching Order (PO) of each player. Click “Submit Stats” to enter the data into our SMSBL Online System.

scorekeeping app for Apple and Android devices, Dale Marinello has developed an interface allowing you to import your iScore game stats into the SMSBL stats system.
