SMSBL Hall of Famer Billy Clouse
Billy Clouse
2025 Inductee
Billy’s journey started in 1967 at Fruitridge Little League!  Skipping coast league going straight to the Miners! At 10 years old he was drafted into the Majors.  At 15yrs old Billy had an accident with a rope swing! Multiple injuries including dislocation and fracture of his right elbow, along with tendon damage. Doctors said he would never throw another baseball with his right arm. With hard work and PT six months later, he made the Senior League all stars with a batting average of 667. To this day he’s still on the mound pitching 9-Innings.

His baseball resume includes Many Leagues played over the years:
City League with old friends and went 15-0
Double F (I think we all know what this stands for)
MSBL Night league with Jim Hill’s- Mariners 3-Seasons
Tony Jackson-ValleyCats! Too many seasons to count!!
     Calvin Nickerson- Miners & Bandits
     Larry Whitmer -Dragons
     Tom Reid-Dodgers
     George Bettencort-Seals

Along with the season play there’s always tournaments!! 25 Years of traveling to Arizona for the “World Series of Baseball.” Taking home the “W” multiple times. Father’s Day Tournament receiving MVP one year was a memory that Billy will hold onto for a lifetime. Having my family and friends there to celebrate with him, priceless.

Billy looks forward to many more years of playing the game!! His induction into the SMSBL HOF is a testament to his multiple position skills, above average hitting ability, and approach and respect for the game itself.
