SMSBL Hall of Famer Troy Nogosek
Troy Nogosek
2025 Inductee
Troy's love for baseball began at age 6 in 1969 when he played with the Citrus Heights Little League. He played throughout his childhood and began his adult baseball career with SMSBL in 1991 when he played for the Rocklin Royals. In the mid 1990's, he played for the
Sacramento River Cats. He then played for his last and favorite team - the Auburn Braves! He played for this organization until he was forced to retire due to a work related injury. He was their shortstop with a rocket arm, always batting in the top half of the lineup, excellent speed and base runner.
Baseball is in the Nogosek blood with his two sons playing baseball children in multiple sports.
One of his favorite memories was winning the MSBL 2015 50+ Cactus Division World Series Championship with the Auburn Braves. Another is winning the SMSBL Father & Son Baseball Tournament with both of his sons - Brad & Stephen.
Troy and his wife moved to NW Montana in 2022. He spends his time hunting, snowmobiling and fishing. He and his wife play golf and pickleball. He remains a lifetime Dodgers fan and is loving the Montana lifestyle.
Troy is grateful that even after years of not playing locally, he’s being recognized and inducted into the SMSBL HOF because of his legacy and history as a premier player and dedicated teammate.  He’s surely missed by his Braves brothers.
